Forgive us for being late on this one single from los Chicharrons/ Puddu Varano man Morten Varano. But we found it behind the sofa and were impressed by what we heard. The original version of “Step Up” is for bars and clubs that like their beats sunny and warm. A kind of cross between Afrofunk, blues and country music. It´s the kind of records that is hard to describe but easy to love. Of the various remixes it´s Brother Brown´s fuzzy eletro take (think farty bass and snappy beats) that impresses most.
